Hire Terms of Business


Please read the following terms and conditions carefully.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EQUIPMENT HIRER

  1. The hirer has to ensure that the equipments maximum load weight of 18 stone (forwheelchairs) will not be exceeded, unless where a heavy duty model has been specified.
  2. Any defects must be reported to AJ Mobility Hire immediately.
  3. The equipment is to be used in a correct fashion, not causing any danger to either theoccupant, user or to others.
  4. To prepare or return the equipment for collection when the hire time span has been reached.
  5. Punctures/puncture repairs are the responsibility of the hirer.
  6. Loss or damage to the equipment is the sole responsibility of the hirer.
  7. Replacement products are billed as follows:
    • Attendant Wheelchair - £250.00
    • Children′s Wheelchair - £250.00
    • Portable Mobility Scooter - £750
    • Rollators/Walkers - £50
    • Bariatric Wheelchair - £300.00
    • Self Propelled Wheelchair - £275.00
    • 4/8mph Scooters from - £999
  8. The equipment packaging must be retained for returning - only if the equipment was delivered.

WHEELCHAIR RETURNS

  1. If the equipment was collected from our depot then it is expected to be returned to the same depot, unless previously agreed in writing.
  2. If the equipment was delivered then it is expected to be packed in the same way as it was received, unless previously agreed in writing.
  3. When the equipment is ready to be collected, unless where hire is agreed short term with a finish date, it is the responsibility of the hirer to contact AJ Mobility Hire on 01323 444861.
  4. Equipment can only be returned between Monday and Friday, 9am - 4:30pm
  5. AJ Mobility wheelchair hire do not collect mobility equipment on weekends or bank holidays.

EQUIPMENT DEFECTS

  1. If at any stage during the hiring period the equipment should develop a defect, the hirer isresponsible to contact AJ Mobility Hire on 01323 444861.
  2. If the equipment is defective it is not to be used in any form until it has been repaired or replaced by AJ Mobility Hire
  3. If the equipment has a puncture then it is the responsibility of the hirer to repair or have the puncture repaired.
  4. AJ Mobility Hire do not accept responsibility of the use of a defect equipment which causes damage or injuries.
  5. AJ Mobility Hire request that when using wheelchairs, seat belt be used at all times of occupancy for safety reasons

All equipment that is hired from AJ Mobility Hire will be delivered in fullworking condition. All wheelchairs supplied by AJ Mobility Hire either for sale or forwheelchair hire meet all British Safety standards for wheelchairs.
